Sheinelle Jones opened up about the segment. Producers showed clips of those who are digging out after the snowstorm. Sheinelle warned them about “more wild weather” ahead. She then handed it over to Al Roker, who agreed with her. He continued to share some of the danger that was ahead.

“That’s right, gang. Buckle up, it’s going to be literally a bumpy ride,” Al Roker shared. “15 million people right now from the plains all the way to the Southwest and the West Coast are under winter storm watches, advisories, blizzard warnings for the cascades — or the sierra, I should say.”

Al Roker mentioned the “dangerous winter storm” and “tornado risk for much of the south.” He then talked about the downpours that are taking place “in the mid-South into mid-Mississippi River valley.” If that wasn’t enough, the  Northeast and other parts of the midwest, including Kansas City will experience snow and icy conditions.

“Tomorrow the threat level really ramps up,” Al Roker continued. “We are looking at the possibility of very strong tornadoes. It is going to  be a very, very difficult next 72 hours.”

Fans have expressed their concerns about their favorite weatherman. They think Al should take it easy because of his health issues. Months ago, Al was rushed to the hospital for multiple blood clots in his lungs and legs. He was in and out of the hospital at that time and had to take an extended break from Today.

Al returned in January 2023, where he shared the details of his seven-hour surgery. Some of his fans took to his Instagram post to tell him to “take it easy.” They don’t want him to burn out and end up back in the hospital. Earlier this week, viewers noticed that Al Roker looked like he was “struggling” to get through an exercise segment on the show.
