It’s Official! Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison Reunited For Hallmark ‘Hannah Swensen’ Mystery
For nearly a month, Sleuthers have been piecing together the clues that Hallmark is making a new Hannah Swensen Mystery. They even figured out that Cameron Mathison, lately on GAF, was going to reprise his role as Detective Mike Kingston in the new movie.
Now, HMM has made it official!
Alison Sweeney & Cameron Mathison Reunited For New Hallmark Hannah Swensen Mystery
On Tuesday, Entertainment Tonight announced that Hallmark Movies & Mysteries is making Carrot Cake: A Hannah Swensen Mystery. In addition, they are currently filming this brand new mystery.
Best of all, Alison Sweeney and Cameron are reuniting as Hannah and Mike. The last movie, Sweet Revenge, premiered in 2021. It has been a long wait for fans of this series that was originally called Murder She Baked.
Cameron Mathison Is Not The Only Cast Member To Return
Alison Sweeney and Cameron Mathison are joined by two more regulars from this Hallmark series. Joining this new Hannah Swensen movie is Barbara Niven, who plays Hannah’s mom, Delores. In addition, Gabriel Hogan, portrays Norman, the dentist.
What Is Carrot Cake: A Hannah Swensen Mystery About?
This upcoming Hannah Swensen Mystery is based on the Joanne Fluke novel Carrot Cake Murder. In this mystery, when a building goes under renovation, they discover a skeleton. Moreover, one of the beloved citizens in Lake Eden turns out to not be who they said they were. Did someone take on the identity of the deceased?
Soon, Hannah starts to abandon her work at The Cookie Jar for her sleuthing hobby, much to the chagrin of her fiancé Mike. Moreover, she investigates solo.
Eventually, Hannah gets Delores to help her out. They are determined to figure out the series of events that led to this murder. More than that, she is determined to find out who the killer is and make them pay for this crime!

Sleuthers Are Reason Hannah Swensen Mystery Is Back
Alison Sweeney is thrilled to reprise her role as Hannah. “The fans of Hannah Swensen are incredible and we are so excited to make more mysteries to share with them. Plus, working together again with Cam and Barbara is so much fun!”
However, Elizabeth Yost, Senior Vice President of Development At Hallmark Media revealed that fans are the reason that there is another mystery movie.
The adventures of Hannah Swensen have long been a favorite among our viewers and we’re thrilled to bring them a new mystery they can try to solve at home along with Hannah.
When Will Carrot Cake: A Hannah Swensen Mystery Premiere?
The latest Hannah Swensen Mystery will air later this year. Hallmark Movies & Mysteries has already announced its April titles, and there are no mysteries listed. Therefore, the soonest it could potentially premiere is in May.
