‘DWTS’: Pregnant Peta Murgatroyd Channels Her Inner Rihanna
Dancing With The Stars legends Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy are living their best lives these days. They are currently expecting their second child and enjoying family time together. They also recently got to meet their baby nephew, Rome Chmerkovskiy.
But after seeing the Super Bowl, the family knew they had to recreate Rihanna’s halftime show in their living room. Fans went wild for the mini-performance. Keep reading to check it out!
Peta Murgatroyd has a blast recreating Rihanna’s half time show with her family
Although Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd are dancers, they’re taking time to focus on their family right now. They’ve been through quite a bit over the past few years and are looking forward to the road ahead.
As it turns out, the Chmerkovskiys are pretty big Rihanna fans. They were delighted about her Super Bowl halftime show and couldn’t wait to recreate it.
“We just couldn’t help it! Shai stole the show and @petamurgatroyd lived her best life!” Maks posted the adorable video on Instagram. “By the way, if you REALLY know @maksimc you know that @badgalriri have been his secret crush since ‘Umbrella’ and for EXTRA EXTRA points which #Riri song is Maks and Peta’s favorite and was a must at their wedding?”
In the clip, Peta is wearing a red outfit with her pregnant tummy exposed. She lipsyncs to Rihanna’s song “Bitch Better Have My Money” while Maks and their son Shai dance around dressed like Rihanna’s backup dancers. Shai looks like he’s absolutely having the time of his life.

“Y’all thought u could just post a clip from the real halftime show and we wouldn’t notice…” one fan joked.

What fans know so far about baby Chmerkovskiy
Peta Murgatroyd can’t wait to welcome her second child into the world. But in the meantime, she’s also an incredibly devoted mother to her son, Shai. The little boy turned six years old in January and is currently in Kindergarten.
It’s also exciting to note that Peta’s children will be six years apart, which is the same age gap between Maks and his younger brother Val Chmerkovskiy. With any luck, the siblings will grow up to be as close as Maks and Val are.
Peta confirmed that she is due in June, but hasn’t given any other updates about the baby yet. She and Maks have been much quieter about this baby since they’ve struggled with pregnancy losses in the past. As of March 2023, they still haven’t publically announced the baby’s gender.
