Kody Brown Failure Triggers Another Polyamy Family Divorce?
Kody Brown from Sister Wives had a lot of expectations when it came to living his polygamist dream. His friends and family all knew that this was always what he had wanted. He even had some friends that became close to the Browns. These friends, better known as the Colliers, were living their polygamist dream as well. Now it looks as if they may have called it quits. Did the failure of Kody’s marriage trigger them? Let’s find out more.
The Collier Family And Kody Brown
In a recent post on The U.S. Sun, the Collier’s divorce was announced. Nathan and one of his wives, Christine Collier, appeared on Sister Wives a few times. They were seen in Season 8 and Nathan had been fighting a legal battle in order to legally marry his second wife. Christine spoke to her fans and told them that they divorced. The news of this split came just shortly after Kody and Janelle had announced their break up.
When Christine told her fans about the split, she said they broke up for “irreconcilable differences” and then she added, “It’s personal. I’d rather not air that information.” Christine helped to parent eight of the Collier children. According to her social media accounts, she has said that she is in a new relationship, but hasn’t given away much information about it.
Were The Browns And Colliers Close?
Even though they did appear on Sister Wives, Christine said that she was not close to the Browns. She said, “I was not friends with them, nor did we keep close afterward. Whatever is going on in their family… it’s their business. I try to stay out of other people’s business.” When they appeared with the Browns, they were chatting with them about the polygamist lifestyle. They discussed some issues that they had dealt with too and they hung out with all of the kids. The relationship that they all had didn’t seem too tight-knit back then.
Just because the Brown’s marriage didn’t last, fans feel that other polygamist marriages have started to follow suit. It turns out that a source close to the Browns shared that the women in these marriages are finally seeing the flaws in them. The women have finally gained the courage to leave these marriages. It may have taken Christine and Janelle leaving Kody to pave the way for other women to do the same.
