Michael Halterman Deemed Useless As Amy Breaks Down
1000-Lb Sisters cast members Amy and Michael Halterman are doing their best to raise their sons and give them a great life. Amy stays at home full-time with her sons and Michael is the breadwinner of the family. Because of Amy’s disabilities, she is unable to work. However, recently fans of the show have decided to slam Michael for his work around the house and with the kids, calling him useless. In the newest episode of the show, Amy faces more struggles two weeks after giving birth. As fans watch on as Michael runs off to attend a barbeque, Amy isn’t sure she can do it on her own.
Is Michael Halterman Useless?
In the most recent episode of the show, fans were shocked to see that Michael Halterman decided that he would attend a family gathering and let Amy deal with their newborn baby. While at the gathering, Gage gets so fussy that Amy has to take him out of his stroller and try to calm him down. As Amy is doing all of this to try and get him to calm down, Michael just hangs out with his family and eats. This, of course, struck a nerve with the viewers. They were shocked to see him enjoying himself while Amy is struggling.
Amy told the cameras, “Everyone is having fun, having a good old time. I’m over here hot as h**l, I just recuperated from surgery, I haven’t had much sleep at all, and Gage just won’t stop crying.” She went on, “The boys started crying and I’m trying to choose which one to give my attention to at that point in time and I just feel like, how am I gonna do this? How am I gonna be a mother to two boys and not hurt one of their feelings?”
The Family Drama
As soon as viewers saw that Michael Halterman wasn’t helping her at all, they took to Twitter to express their concerns. The U.S. Sun shared many of the tweets from viewers. One wrote, “I wonder if Michael was helpful with Gage? Because, if not I’m glad Amy has her family. But the kids aren’t her family’s responsibility. They’re Amy’s and Michael’s. I hope he’s more helpful off-camera.” Another added, “How no one grabbed a baby and handed the baby to Michael I do not know. Like I am not a calm chill person when it comes to the obvious. He is the daddy he needs to stop eating and be a dad.”
A lot of family issues have come out recently on the show. It turns out that Michael may not help as much as Amy would like, but he is doing the best that he can.

oh Amy my heart goes out to you, you are doing just fine, God doesn’t hand you more then we can handle. I was so mad at Michael that he could sit on his friggin Ass. It would have been awesome to see a family member knock his plate out of his hand and walk off. He has never helped Amy, he is pathetic. Amy you are better off without him. You can do this you are much stronger then you think you are. Think about this, you have been doing it by yourself all this time. You are a beautiful woman with 2 beautiful childen. Be Blessed 🙏
