‘The Little Couple:’ What Type Of Doctor Is Jen Arnold?
The Little Couple star Jen Arnold is a talented and successful doctor, as fans may know from the show and social media. The busy mother of two seems to love what she does and is happy to use her platform to educate fans about medicine. But what area does she work in? What is Jen Arnold’s job?
Jen wears many hats. As we reported, she and her husband Bill Klein moved their family from Florida to Massachusetts. While searching for a home, they appeared on HGTV’s Farmhouse Fixer.
She now works at the Boston Children’s Hospital and Harvard University. One of her main roles is educating medical professionals.
In an interview with InTouch, Jen explained her job. She said, “I like to think of it as a program for clinical or medical institutions that supports education and training. Innovation and patient safety are the big pillars, I guess, is what I would say. We actually use human factors and systems engineering to help improve workflows and processes and mitigate hazards in healthcare.”
She typically uses simulations to teach others how to perform various surgeries and therapies. She said they often tackle “high risk, rare situations” in pediatrics.
With Boston Children’s Hospital, she’s currently involved in a podcast, in which she educates parents with her expertise.
As of now, there is no word on whether The Little Couple is coming back to TLC. With so many other responsibilities and obligations, Jen stays plenty busy. Of course, caring for patients and educating medical staff appear to be her top priorities.
What type of doctor is The Little Couple star?
Jen specializes in neonatal-perinatal medicine, which means she works with newborns. More specifically, she cares for infants who were born prematurely and require extra attention. She’s been practicing medicine for more than 20 years.
