‘1000-Lb. Sisters’ Amy, Chris & Amanda Want To Leave TLC, Why?
1000-Lb. Sisters cast members, Amy Halterman and Tammy Slaton have put their weight loss journey on the show for all to see. Recently, the amount of money that they make came to light. It appears that many cast members including Chris Combs and Amanda, do not make as much money as others. In fact, these cast members could be ready to leave TLC. Why would they want to leave? Let’s find out.
Rollin’ In The Dough?
Many reality shows pay their cast members very well. This must be what the Slaton sisters thought would happen when they signed on to be part of TLC. However, it appears that the sisters do not make as much money as they thought they would. The network has made them pay for almost everything when it comes to their weight loss journey. Tammy had to pay for her time at the weight loss rehab clinic and for her gastric bypass surgery. The sisters have paid for all of their medical bills with their weight loss as well.
Just recently, The Sun reported that Tammy only gets paid about $2,000 to $3,000 per episode. That means she is making $20,000 to $30,000 for a ten-episode series. Is this enough to pay all of her bills and get her back on her feet? Many fans don’t believe that it is. If Tammy only gets paid this little, then what about the other cast members? Are they making decent money off of the show? As more evidence comes out about the pay for the show, sadly, it looks like other cast members get paid less.
1000-Lb. Sisters Cast Low Salary
From the looks of it, Tammy’s husband, Caleb Willingham has actually signed on for the season as well. Does this mean the budget for 1000-Lb. Sisters will get lower or will he make the same as Tammy? Interestingly enough, it turns out that Amanda, their half-sister, makes just about $700 a month for her appearances on the show. Amy may make more than any cast member because of her sons, but she is still ready to ask for more money.
With the amount of money that the cast is making, it does seem as if they are all ready to fight TLC for more money. They have paid for so many expenses that fans think the network should pay for and now it looks as if they are low on funds. Will they win this fight or will they have to leave the network and pursue other avenues?

Same old same old. Tired of Tammy’s tantrums and rudeness to everyone. Amy has gotten boring after all her excuses to overeat. Don’t plan to watch show
I definitely believe they should make more money per episode. Look at all the millions that athletes get. There a wonderful loving family who deserves to be paid well. God bless them all on there weight loss journies.
love this family, they are all so intertaining pay them what they are worth
As far as I care, any amount these clowns get is too much. Glorifying the serial liars amy and tamtam is right up terrible life choice’s ally. And tamtam gets ssdi! as does caleb! who do you think is paying the $10,000 a month cost for each of them at that nursing home!???
I would love to see a spin off with the other 3 siblings but I would love to continue to watch Amy and Tammy’s journey I love those girls to and am proud of them
I think they should have had expenses paid for all medical and travel. and definitely more for publishing their journey and families.
There are many people who gain success at weight loss and do not have their entire family in on it. These two women have never worked an hourly job in their lifetime so this show is their way of making money? Who paid for the weight loss surgery? I am sure it was TLC. Before that the state? No one on this show seems to have ever had a job. So they go on tv to get all of them money because they are overweight? This show could be a lot of people but not with their entire overweight family. Tammy with her nasty disposition and her sharp tongue and Amy with her complaining about having two toddlers and a husband who sits in total silence? Maybe both of them could pick up a broom or run a vacuum because neither of them are that clean. When TLC shows vaping and drinking by one obese woman does it get any worse? None of them worked but found a way to make money and TLC pays them for sitting there is nothing in this show worth watching. I pray TLC take this show off because this is not worth watching. Just two overweight obese lazy women and their whole family who are getting money from TLC and not doing anything to earn it. That is one big joke on the back of TLC and Tammy and Amy are laughing all the way to the bank and they want to negotiate for more money? Why? One last thing is that I have never heard any of this family say two things. The words “Thank You” or “I am sorry” and those words have been badly neglected to use by this family. I wish them all success. Now please take this freak show off and do not give it anymore air time.
I guess the part I don’t understand is they have all had surgery to get healthy
..but yet they don’t eat healthy to help with the surgery..I get it it’s hard not to eat what you desire but..come on what’s the point of the surgery then? I do watch every week to watch thier progress and they truly put themselves out there for the world to watch they should receive a decent pay per episode..should they all ..no..it feels to me Tammy’s husband or what ever he is jumped in the wagon for money..and tv..not sure that is true love there but hope I am wrong.. regardless I wish them all the best.they are dysfunctional like a lot of family’s no surprise there..
