As TV Shows Ace reported, Zach and Whitney recently announced that they are adding another little one to their family in August. They already have four kids, Bradley, Kaci, Khloé, and Jadon. Of course, fans are curious to know what they might name their next baby.
Whitney is about 12 weeks along now, so she could find out the gender via a blood test. If she waits for confirmation via ultrasound, it will still be a few more weeks. In the meantime, fans are having fun sharing their guesses.

On Reddit, one Bringing Up Bates fan put up a poll and asked fans to share whether they think this baby is a boy or a girl. After just seven hours, 566 fans have cast their votes. 332 fans believe Zach and Whitney will have a boy, while 234 think it’s a girl.

On her Instagram Stories this week, Whitney Bates pointed out that her kids so far follow the same gender order as Zach and his siblings. Whitney has had a boy, two girls, and then a boy.
Kelly Jo Bates’ first four kids are Zach, Michael, Erin, and Lawson. After that came Nathan. So, if this pattern continues for Whitney’s fifth baby, this one would be a boy. Of course, that may or may not happen and it all comes down to chance.
What might the couple name their fifth child?
In the comments section of the Reddit post, fans are commenting and sharing what they think Whitney and Zach might name their next baby. The girls’ names begin with a “K,” so it seems fairly likely another “K” name will be used if it’s a girl. Fans think Karlie is a strong contender because Whitney’s late father’s middle name was Carl. Some believe Karlie Jo would be a good combination to honor both Whitney’s father and Zach’s mother.
Other name possibilities for a girl include Kylie, Keely, and Kinsley.
Some Bringing Up Bates fans are struggling to find a theme or pattern with Bradley’s and Jadon’s names. For this reason, it’s challenging for fans to predict a boy’s name. Here are a few of the ideas fans had:
