Recently, the former Bringing Up Bates stars shared with fans that Katie is in pre-term labor. She’s currently expecting her first baby, a girl named Hailey James, due on March 4. The couple informed fans that the doctor said the baby could come any day now. So, a few of Katie’s relatives traveled from Tennessee to New Jersey just in case the baby came early.

However, that was almost two weeks ago now, and the baby still isn’t here.

Online, fans slammed Travis Clark and Katie Bates for making it seem like the baby was coming when she really wasn’t. Others think the couple did this for more attention.

The Bringing Up Bates stars set the record straight.

After receiving enough negative comments, Travis Clark and Katie Bates are defending themselves. On Thursday, they released a new YouTube video and gave fans an update about the baby. Hailey still isn’t here, as we’ve reported.

In the video, they mentioned how people were teasing them for freaking out about Hailey coming soon. After all, Katie was in pre-term labor and her doctor said the baby could arrive any day. Travis and Katie denied the assumption that they were desperate for attention and explained that they truly thought Hailey would be here by now, based on what they were told.

On Redditone fan said, “I also noticed Travis talked a lot about some of the comments folks are making. I almost felt like he was clearing things up and standing up for why Carlin, Evan, and Mama were in town!”
