Bringing Up Bates fans are blasting Josie Balka for hypocrisy. One of her recent moves has prompted fans to call her out. Many agree that her actions don’t really match what she’s said in the past. In addition to recalling what Josie said before, fans even have receipts to prove what was said. So, what did Josie do? And how are fans responding? Keep reading for all of the details.

Josie Balka makes a claim via social media.

In an Instagram Q&A session last year, a fan asked Josie whether she uses Dime beauty products or perfumes. In response, she showed fans the Taylor Swift Wonderstruck perfume she uses. Then, she said that Dime is “not for me.” This question was likely asked because several of her sisters work with Dime and promote their products on social media.

Despite making this claim on social media last year, Josie is now using and promoting Dime’s tinted sunscreen. On her Instagram Stories on Thursday, Feb. 16, she shared a clip of herself using it and included a link where fans can go purchase it. It’s likely that she’s working with the company and receives a commission from the sales.

While applying the tinted sunscreen, the former Bringing Up Bates star said, “Love this one!! It’s so glowy.”

Bringing Up Bates fans blast her for hypocrisy.

On Redditfans are talking about Josie being a hypocrite by saying she doesn’t use these products. Some think she’s just promoting this for the money despite not being a fan of Dime. One Reddit user said, “Yeah that’s so shady. I remember when Josie said she didn’t like Dime products, and now their sunscreen is her holy grail? Anything for a buck, I guess…”

One Bringing Up Bates fan claimed they took this further and confronted Josie. They said they had messaged her on Instagram and pointed out her hypocrisy. Then, they explained, “She said that she only posted about not using their skin care and this is their sunscreen. So it’s different.”

The fan later sent a screenshot of Josie’s original comment about the company. This ended with Josie allegedly blocking them.

It’s unclear if Josie will publicly address her hypocrisy. But it sounds like quite a few fans are unhappy about it. She may be forced to speak out about it if she continues receiving backlash for it.

So, what do you think of Josie Balka promoting this company after previously saying she wouldn’t? Do you think it’s an issue? Sound off in the comments section below, and come back to TV Shows Ace for more news about the Bringing Up Bates family.
