Rihanna kept a big secret from everyone. Even her backup dancers had no idea that she was pregnant. She kept her pregnant body hidden prior to the Super Bowl LVII Halftime Show. The singer previously hinted in her interviews that she was “thinking about bringing someone” with her to the stage.

Fans were wondering who was going to come out on stage with her. Would it be Drake or Kanye West? Or, could she invite Chris Brown or Eminem? Rihanna kicked off the 14-minute show with her song “B*tch Betta Have My Money.” She rubbed her baby bump, which had some wondering if she was pregnant again. Others thought she was making a statement about having a post-baby body.

Per TMZ, Rihanna made sure to keep her pregnancy “a well-kept secret even among people who were part of the show.” She was able to do it “due in part to the baggy clothing she’d been rocking during all the rehearsals” There were “upwards of 280” backup dancers who wore all-white costumes. They stole the show even though everyone was focused on the “Diamonds” singer.

Her dancers had no idea that she would unveil the news on Sunday night. Rih went to the rehearsals in “loose-fitting outfits.” Some of them may not have noticed since she made sure to keep her belly hidden. That wasn’t the only time the songstress kept the baby news out of the public eye.

In January, Rihanna attended the 2023 Golden Globes with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky. She wore a black bustier gown that hid her baby bump at the red-carpet event. The ruching down the front made sure to conceal anything. Back in May 2022, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky welcomed their first child, whose name they haven’t revealed.

She took to TikTok to share a video of her smiling son in her car seat. Since then, there has been an interest in her highly-anticipated return to the stage in seven years. A$AP Rocky was also at the Super Bowl LVII to watch his baby mama perform. The couple left with their one-year-old son as they expand their family.
