Sleuthers Want Cameron Mathison Back For Hannah Swensen

When Sleepy Kitty Paw shared on Twitter the news of the new Hannah Swensen Mystery movie, the number one comment was from fans wondering whether Cameron Mathison would also star.

First, Hallmarkies podcaster Caroline asked, “ is all cast back?!”

Another fan asked, “That’s so cool! Will Cameron be in the movie too? I know he has been doing some projects with GAC Family lately…”

A third Sleuther asked, “Glad to see the old mysteries coming back. I’m curious if Cameron is in this one.”

This continued with more comments like this, “Glad to hear… wonder if Cameron will be back?”

The number one question is whether or not Cameron Mathison would return as Mike. That is because the star has been working with Great American Family.

However, unlike Candace Cameron Bure and Trevor Donovan, Cameron Mathison has not signed any sort of exclusive deal with the network.

But, fans are still concerned. That is because it seems that actors who are starring in Great American Family movies are not also working in Hallmark movies. Moreover, this is causing a lot of concern for fans of such series as this and another popular mystery series that ended in a cliffhanger.

Why Cameron Mathison’s Return Matters To Mystery 101 Fans

Cameron Mathison’s return to Hallmark Mysteries and the upcoming movie Carrot Cake Murder: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is of particular interest to Mystery 101 fans. That is because Jill Wagner has also been in Great American Family movies, but not in any Hallmark movies in a couple of years. In addition, she, like Cameron, has been part of GAF’s new app.

Fans are concerned that she is blacklisted from doing a Hallmark movie, although, like Cameron, she has not signed an exclusive deal. Also, fans have been very anxious about another Mystery 101 movie. it has been over 18 months and there is still no word on whether or not Hallmark will make another movie. Many believe that it is because Jill has been working with GAF.

For those who are not familiar with the Signature Hallmark Mystery, the last movie, Deadly History, Which premiered in August 2021, ended with a cliffhanger. There is an eighth script all ready to go. However, nothing has happened, and fans are frustrated.

Since then, both actors have been very busy. First, Jill Wagner has been filming Lioness. But, she has starred in a Great American Family Christmas movie, A Merry Christmas Wish, with Cameron Mathison for the 2022 holiday movie season.

However, her costar Kristoffer Polaha has filmed several Hallmark projects, written a novel, and now is currently filming The Shift. This will continue until early March.

A Return?

In addition, amid the shocking Yellowstone news and possible Kevin Costner departure, Deadline also reported that Lioness, the show that Jill Wagner created with Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan, will finish filming this week.

They shared “That show has wrapped its first season early this week.”

That possibly means both actors have a short window of time to make that eighth movie. John Christian Plummer has confirmed he has a script. All they need to do is get the actors together and make this movie.

But first, Sleutethers want to know whether Cameron Mathison will be back for another Hannah Swensen Mystery. Then, a lot of concerns will be gone.
