Hallmark’s ‘The Way Home’ Is Taking Break, When Is It Back?

Hallmark Channel, News

What is the latest news on Hallmark’s hit new series, The Way Home? Turns out, The Way Home is currently on a break. When will the series that stars Andie MacDowell, Chyler Leigh, and Sadie Laflamme-Snow return?

Hallmark’s The Way Home Is On A Break

According to TV Line, the new Hallmark series is “taking a knee” for Super Bowl Sunday. That means there will not be a new episode of Hallmark’s fantastic new time-travel family drama on Sunday, February 12.

Instead, Hallmark will air the first four episodes of The Way Home starting at 6 p.m., Eastern. This way those who have not seen the new series can catch it from the beginning. Or, this will appeal to those who want to rewatch the entire beginning of the series.

Those episodes are called: “Mothers And Daughters,” “Scar Tissue,” “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing,” and “What’s My Again Again?.”

When Is The Way Home Coming Back?

Thankfully, the new Hallmark series will be back on Sunday, February 19, at 9 p.m., Eastern.

The first season of this new series is a total of 10 episodes. Hallmark has already aired four. Therefore, in addition, the remaining six episodes will air as normal–with one exception. The final episode of The Way Home Season 1 is on Sunday, March 26. It will air one hour earlier, at 8 p.m., Eastern.

The reason that there is a change is that, on that same day, Hallmark is premiering their new rodeo family drama Ride.

The Way Home Is About A Family Dealing With Tragedy

After an unspeakable tragedy, the Landry family is torn apart. Del and Kat Landry are all who are left.

After 2o years apart, Del writes to Kat to come home. Now, Kat is a mother and she brings home her teen daughter Alice. However, Kat’s marriage has fallen apart and she is back in their Canadian farm town for the first time in two decades.

Despite hating her new home, Alice finds some magic in the pond. Moreover, can time travel to the time before the tragedy occurred.

Subsequently, Alice starts to understand her mother better. Also, she finds who she is and what she wants.

The Next Episode Is Called ‘Don’t Dream It’s Over’

On February 19, when The Way Home returns, the episode will be called “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”

According to the Hallmark synopsis, “Kat chaperones a school dance and reconnects with Brady. Alice wants Nick to find her in the future. Del says goodbye to more memories as a landmark closes.”

Hallmark Will Not Be Airing Kitten Bowl

Traditionally, in the past, Hallmark would air the Kitten Bowl on Super Bowl Sunday. However, last year they announced that they would not be doing this important and entertaining animal-centric programming.
