‘Vanderpump Rules’ Lala Kent Says ‘Enough’ Ozempic For Weight Loss
Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent has had enough of people using Ozempic for weight loss. This has become a popular celebrity trend recently and many feel it has gone too far. Now, she is the latest person to speak out over the abuse of the drug, usually used for diabetes. Read on for more details.
Vanderpump Rules Lala Kent Says ‘Enough’ Ozempic For Weight Loss
Lala Kent has been very focused on working out. She shows herself on her social media trying to get her figure back after having lost some weight recently. Though she may be tall and thin, the Vanderpump Rules star has never been against plastic surgery or some personal alterations. After she welcomed her daughter, Ocean in 2021, Kent underwent a breast augmentation and had one ear pinned back. However, she is adamantly against people abusing medications for weight loss.
Lala Kent spoke to People Magazine during the Vanderpump Season 10 premiere event on Tuesday, February 7th. It was there that she addressed the trend that is sweeping weight-conscious celebs. “Stop taking it for weight loss. Enough already. I think that Hollywood is all sorts of f—ed up. We’ve got to do better,” Kent shared. “I think there’s a lot of things that need to change and it starts with us and there are times where I roll my eyes and say, ‘F—ing do better, all of us.’ We all need to participate in becoming better examples for our children in the outside world.”
Lala believes that, by taking Ozempic, celebs are creating an unrealistic body image and type. This has been an FDA-approved injection for the treatment of Type 2 diabetes. However, some celebs claim that they had no idea they were even taking the drug until it was too late. Comedian Chelsea Handler alleges that her anti-aging doctor prescribed it to her and doesn’t discriminate. “So, my anti-aging doctor just hands it out to anybody. I didn’t even know I was on it. She said, ‘If you ever want to drop five lbs., this is good.'”
Not Holding Back
Lala Kent has never been one to hold back how she feels and that is probably why she has lasted so long on Vanderpump. She arrived on the scene in Season 4 as a hostess. Over the years, she was secretive about her dating life and how she was able to live such a lavish life. Eventually, she came out with her romance with producer, Randall Emmett. However, the two parted ways in October 2021 after he was supposedly caught cheating. More so, for the first time in the show’s history, viewers will see single Lala so anything goes.
Do you agree with Lala that this Ozempic weight loss trend has to be stopped? Let us know and watch the Season 1o premiere of Vanderpump Rules Wednesday, February 8th on Bravo.
