Madonna Claps Back At Trolls For Age-Shaming
On social media, fans called out the Queen Of Pop claiming that it looked like she had a whole new face. Another fan wrote, “Madonna looks good for her age…if her age is a 2,700-year-old vampire who eats babies and small animals alive.”
However, the singer soon clapped back at the trolls. The mother of six mentioned that she is “caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in.”
Deborah Roberts Stuns In A Royal Blue Dress
On Tuesday, Deborah Roberts talked about this very subject on the ABC show. The 62-year-old appeared on the morning show wearing a stunning royal blue dress and pointy blue heels. In the segment about Madonna and the problem with ageism in America, she described Madonna’s MO. She explained how for more than four decades, the singer has shocked her fans both off stage and on stage.
“However, after the reaction she got at the Grammy Awards, some are asking if this was less about Madonna and more about how we treat women who are growing older,” she explained. After several clips of Madonna at the Grammys throughout her career were aired, Deborah hit the viewers with some statistics. She asserted that 2 in 3 women over the age of 50 experience discrimination. The ABC journalist also advised that parents need to talk to their children about ageism and not the women coping with it.
