This is part of the Harley Quinn animated series on HBO Max that has aired three seasons and 36 episodes to date. While Season 3 ended in September 2022, there is still a special coming in 2023.
That is the new holiday special, and it will premiere on HBO Max on Thursday, February 9, 2023. Because this is HBO Max, you should be able to watch it as soon as midnight hits on the Wednesday night before the series.

While Season 3 saw Harley as a therapist for an arrested Bruce Wayne and Ivy led the Legion of Doom, this is a standalone episode all about love. On top of Harley and Ivy’s destructive lovemaking, other characters have struggled with love. Bane has an unexpected date that goes very wrong and Clayface engages in some “self-love.”
Will Harley Quinn end with the new DC changes?
There was a chance that Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special might be the end of Harley for now on HBO Max. James Gunn announced the new slate of DC streaming shows and movies and he didn’t mention Harley Quinn. Also, HBO Max just canceled Titans and Doom Patrol, with both shows getting one last season.
HBO Max did renew the show back in August 2022, but with the changes at the top, that did not mean it would continue on. Here is the good news. James Gunn said the series would continue, saying, “We’re going to keep forward with that.” His partner Peter Safran said that the show was “fantastic,” so fans have nothing to worry about.
