Eric Christian Olsen broke his silence after CBS canceled NCIS: LA and left a message that has fans heartbroken. With the show ending after 14 seasons, the actor wanted to let fans know how much the series meant to him.

After 14 seasons, CBS has canceled NCIS: LA and this will be its last season on the air. The news hit fans hard, and the good news is that the cast is right there with them, understanding the significance the show had on the fandom.

This included Eric Christian Olsen. In an Instagram post, Eric shared, “what a spectacular journey were all shared.” Also in the image, Deeks walked through a tunnel into the bright lights of the sun.

Olsen has played Marty Deeks since the first season of the show and became a main cast member in the first episode of Season 2. He was the LAPD-NCIS Liaison Officer assigned to the Office of Special Projects (OSP) in Los Angeles. Deeks became the partner of NCIS Junior Special Agent Kensi Blye. He and Kensi then married in Season 11. His position was terminated in Season 12, but he became a full-fledged NCIS member after this. It was truly a big ride for Olsen’s character.

Other NCIS: LA cast members react to cancelation

Olsen wasn’t alone when showing his love for the beloved series. LL Cool J, who has been one of the two main leads since the show started, also posted on Instagram. The actor thanked all the show’s fans from around the world, pointing out that they have gotten some of their best ratings recently.

“This is the perfect time to end @ncisla on top of our game!!!” he wrote. He also said that he would continue his relationship with CBS TV and there was more exciting news and announcements coming when it comes to his future on TV.

Daniela Ruah, who played Kinsey since the start, also posted her thoughts about the cancelation on Instagram. She mentioned that she was 24 when the show started and she is 39 now. “I’m so so grateful to have been a part of this NCISLA family,” she wrote. “The show lasted this long because of all of you.”

Caleb Castille, who joined the NCIS: LA cast in 2020 as Devin Roundtree, posted his thoughts on Twitter. “to the best fans & crew in the world! I’m eternally grateful for the opportunity.”

  1. We are going to miss this show & the cast coming into our homes for 14 seasons!! It was such a shock to find out the show had been cancelled..make absolutely no sense!! Great cast, writers, directors!! You guys will be missed very much!
