Yasmine Al-Bustami Fans Speculate Her Character’s End
Currently, NCIS Hawai’i is airing Season 2, and its latest episode aired on January 23, 2023. However, Yasmine’s character, Lucy Tara was nowhere to be seen. As per Hello Magazine, the only instance fans saw a good bit of the character was in the three-part crossover event. Plus, even in that episode, she didn’t interact with a lot of the NCIS Hawai’i characters. Although her absence was spun into the story, fans speculate if she will ever return or if it is the end of Lucy Tara’s character.
Yasmine Al-Bustami’s character, Lucy has been a fan favorite ever since the show premiered. Currently, as per the storyline, she is yet to return to the tropical island. The last fans saw her, she was promoted to a different role, a Special Agent Afloat. This requires the character to sail off on a ship for several months. So, there is a chance that the character might not return anytime soon. But, will she ever return to the show?
NCIS Hawai’i Fans Demand Yasmine Al-Bustami’s Return
Fans saddened by the character’s extended leave took to social media to share their sentiment as one wrote, “Total bust… no Lucy sighting at all. So disappointed.”

In a scene between Lucy’s girlfriend, Kate Whistler (Toni Anderson), and their colleague Jesse Boon (Noah Mills), Kate shared details of the absent character.
Yasmine Al-Bustami Has Some Commitments In The Mainland
Joking about her girlfriend’s current marine situation, Kate says, “She’s good. She’s been sending me a lot of pictures but turns out the middle of the ocean looks like the middle of the ocean no matter what amazing country you’re anchored in.”
Apart from the character update, Yasmine’s co-star Vanessa Lachey also confirmed that the star isn’t gone anywhere. She informed fans that Yasmine Al-Bustami is currently working on other commitments in the mainland. However, she does shoot with them and did so very recently.
“She’s here right now, and we just wrapped two massive water days where all of us were getting soaking wet,” Vanessa revealed. So, there is a chance fans might soon see Yasmine return as Lucy Tara.
