The Oscar winner has been busy lately. Whoopi Goldberg just released her latest memoir, Two Old Broads: Stuff You Need to Know That You Didn’t Know You Need to Know with her friend and doctor M.E. Hecht, M.D. Now, she rereleased the sixth book in the children’s series Sugar Plum Ballerinas.

“The last two rereleased books of my Sugar Plum Ballerinas series are available now,” Whoopi Goldberg announced in her Instagram Stories.

The books are about a group of eight-year-old girls who attend the Nutcracker School of Ballet in Harlem. The ever-popular book series has inspired Black little girls to become whoever they want to be. Whoopi unboxed the new books in her Instagram video. She also explained the inspiration behind the stories.

“I want everybody to know about them because, you know, they’re great stories for girls, and they’re fun,” Whoopi Goldberg shared. “They are to do with all these little brown girls and light-skinned girls and all these girls who want to, you know, they want to be scientists and they want to be doctors and stuff and their moms want them to be ballerinas.”

As a result, the girls become friends because of their similar situations. They want to satisfy their moms by getting through ballet ski. Whoopi thought the books would be relatable to kids who try to appease their parents. They can also imagine themselves in these situations.

Fans demand Whoopi Goldberg’s firing

Whoopi Goldberg wants to be a source of inspiration to kids everywhere. Yet, fans are demanding her firing from The View. This comes amid the news of her controversial comments in The Times UK, which went viral last month. Whoopi continues to make inappropriate comments in regard to the Jewish community.

In her recent interview with The Times, Whoopi brought up the comments that got her suspended from The View for two weeks. Both fans and the ABC network called out her “wrong and hurtful comments” about the Jewish community and the Holocaust. In the interview, she discussed about whether they are a race or a religion.

Many fans are offended by Whoopi Goldberg’s comments. They took to Twitter at the time of the interview to call for her firing. She has since released a statement and continues to appear on The View. Whoopi is also grateful for the many opportunities and chances she’s gotten since then.
