When Calls The Heart star Erin Krakow welcomes a new baby to her family. The 38-year-old shared with fans that in this short time, she already can’t imagine her life without the new baby. Erin Krakow Gushes Over Her New Baby, Willoughby

On Monday, the Philadelphia native took to Instagram to share this exciting news. The actress is now enjoying motherhood but in a unique way. Thanking Tobie’s Small Dog Rescue organization, she introduced her adorable four-legged baby. The Hallmark star shared a sweet picture of a young black pup relaxing on her bed.

She captioned the picture, “Meet Willoughby. We adopted him a week ago and I already can’t imagine life without him.”

In her post, she also thanked Lindsay Nakayama for fostering the young one and being a great foster mom. The actress also had many more people to thank for her new baby. She wrote, “Thank you @therealcatherinebell for introducing us and @larissawohl for putting in a good word! Ok gotta go get some more cuddles now.”

As fans gushed over the young one, Canadian actress Pascale Hutton quipped, “He’s found his favorite spot I see!”

A fan commented, “That face!!! I want him. Willoughby is a great name!”

Erin Krakow Advocates Adopting Rescue Dogs

However, this isn’t the first time Erin has been vocal about the slogan, ‘Adopt Don’t Shop!’ She frequently shares pictures of rescued pups and also fosters them on a regular basis. While she is a real-life animal lover, she also acted alongside a dog named Rip on When Calls The Heart. The character was played by a pooch named Oscar, who Erin described as a talented pup.

In the show, Elizabeth (Erin) had a scene where she tried to win over the four-legged angel and the scene won fans’ hearts. The pooch appeared in 21 episodes of the show. However, suddenly, he stopped appearing on the show, causing fans to worry about his well-being. Answering a fan’s query on Twitter, the actress confirmed that Oscar passed away.

She wrote, “Sadly the dog who played Rip passed away.”

Fans Feel Oscar/Rip Deserved A Better Goodbye

Rip was a favorite among the show’s fans. Back in 2016, the Hallmark Channel also shared a clip showcasing a day in his life when he is on the set of When Calls The Heart. Even though a memorial to Oscar was shared in the credits of one of the show’s episodes, fans feel they didn’t handle Rip’s death well and he deserved a better goodbye.
