In her post, she also thanked Lindsay Nakayama for fostering the young one and being a great foster mom. The actress also had many more people to thank for her new baby. Erin Krakow Advocates Adopting Rescue Dogs
However, this isn’t the first time Erin has been vocal about the slogan, ‘Adopt Don’t Shop!’ She frequently shares pictures of rescued pups and also fosters them on a regular basis. While she is a real-life animal lover, she also acted alongside a dog named Rip on When Calls The Heart. The character was played by a pooch named Oscar, who Erin described as a talented pup.
In the show, Elizabeth (Erin) had a scene where she tried to win over the four-legged angel and the scene won fans’ hearts. The pooch appeared in 21 episodes of the show. However, suddenly, he stopped appearing on the show, causing fans to worry about his well-being. Answering a fan’s query on Twitter, the actress confirmed that Oscar passed away.
She wrote, “Sadly the dog who played Rip passed away.”
Fans Feel Oscar/Rip Deserved A Better Goodbye

Even though a memorial to Oscar was shared in the credits of one of the show’s episodes, fans feel they didn’t handle Rip’s death well and he deserved a better goodbye.
