After a long health struggle with blood clots in his legs and lungs, the 68-year-old is living his best life. Al Roker And Deborah Had A Fulfilling Friday Night

Deborah took to Instagram to share with fans glimpses of her date with her husband Al. The couple visited the Broadway revival of Death Of A Salesman by Arthur Miller in New York. They took a picture with the show’s stellar cast including the celebrated actor Wendall Pierce. However, they made it to the show just days before it was about to wrap up.

The ABC anchor captioned the post, “Friday fulfillment. We made it! Our first major outing in a while. And what a breathtaking night with my sweetie as we finally caught the revival of Death Of A Salesman with the brilliant @wendellpcg and his stellar cast.”

She also revealed that they had scheduled the show, “just days after he fell ill. But we got here just days before it wraps. And what a breathtaking performance. Bravo to the masterful production team who reimagined this classic work!”

Al Roker Felt Shame Being Vulnerable Before His Children

Although Al looks healthier than before in the pictures, he is struggling to put on some weight after the health scare. During his recovery process, Al Roker and his wife spent the holidays at their upstate New York lodge. They were accompanied by their children, Leila (24), Courtney (36), and Nick (20). However, the weathercaster recently shared that he felt shame as his kids saw him struggling due to his health issues.

Yet, he appreciated the fact that they stood by him as a rock and played a key role in his recovery with love and support in these few months.

Deborah Feared Al Roker Might Not Make It To Christmas

Both Al Roker and Deborah Roberts returned to their respective shows recently. However, Deborah shared that she was afraid of Al not making it to Christmas. She revealed, “Through a very scratchy voice, and she was so gaunt and exhausted. He said, ‘I’m going to make a Spatchcock turkey for Christmas. And I didn’t know whether to burst into tears or just to beam.”

The weather reporter also shared that it was Al’s bravery and hope that helped her stay positive throughout her husband’s health crisis.
