Elvis & Priscilla Presley Daughter Lisa Marie Dead At 54
Tragic breaking news on a story that has been developing all day — Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s only daughter Lisa Marie has been confirmed dead at the age of 54. Fans of the Presley family have been praying for the best and fearing the worst since news broke earlier today that Lisa Marie Presley was discovered unresponsive by her housekeeper in her bedroom. As TvShowsAce previously reported, her ex-husband, Danny Keough (who lives with her), performed CPR on her until help arrived. After the paramedics arrived at the scene and restored her pulse, she was rushed to a nearby hospital.
As TvShowsAce reported about an hour ago, Lisa Marie Presley was placed in an induced coma on life support with a temporary pacemaker. She was listed in critical condition. Sadly, reports have now come in that Lisa Marie Presley did not recover from full cardiac arrest and has now passed away.
Lisa Marie Presley confirmed dead at 54 by mother Priscilla
According to People Magazine, Lisa Marie’s mother Priscilla Presley issued an official statement to the outlet confirming her passing.
It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us.
Her statement continued: “She was the most passionate strong and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss. Thank you for the love and prayers. At this time there will be no further comment.”
She followed in her father’s footsteps
Lisa Marie was definitely Elvis’ daughter as she followed in his footsteps becoming both a singer and a songwriter. In 2003, she dropped her debut album called “To Whom It May Concern.” The album hit Number 5 on Billboard’s album chart. It also earned a gold certificate.
Elvis and Priscilla Presley’s daughter had a few very high-profile marriages. Danny Keough was her first husband. Though, she was only with him for a month before divorcing him. Lisa Marie really made headlines and shocked the world when she married Michael Jackson back in 1994. Very briefly after their shocking marriage, they shared what most people considered to be an awkward kiss on stage during the MTV Video Music Awards. Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie were married for nearly two years before divorcing. In 2002, she got married to actor Nicolas Cage. That marriage, however, lasted months before ending in divorce.
Finally, she walked down the aisle one more time with guitarist Michael Lockwood. She had two children and was married to Michael for about a decade before filing for divorce in 2016.
Lisa Marie Presley is survived by her three girls Riley, Harper, and Finley, and her mother Priscilla. Sadly, her son Benjamin Keough died by suicide back in 2020.
As this story has developed throughout the day, Lisa’s loved ones wanted emphasis put on the fact that her cause of death was NOT suicide.
