‘Law and Order: SVU’ Did Ice-T Film His Last Episode?
Some fans believe Ice-T just revealed that he filmed his last episode of Law and Order: SVU. In the comments on the Twitter post, fans pleaded with him to let them know it wasn’t true. There was one big problem. The fans who started this rumor didn’t understand what Ice-T was writing.

Ice-T Posts Behind-The-Scenes Photo From Law and Order: SVU
Ice-T, like many other actors, likes to share things with his fans on social media. In this case, he shared a behind-the-scenes video on Twitter that showed him smiling at the camera. This was a shot from Law and Order: SVU, where he plays Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, a role he has played since 2000.
The problem came with his caption for the video. He wrote, “SVU behind the scenes from Friday night. Filming my character FIN’s episode… #SVUSeason24.” It was pretty easy to understand what he wrote. He was in a scene from the 24th season of the show playing his character Fin. However, some fans didn’t seem to understand the post at all.
One fan immediately freaked out and wrote, “What?!?!?! Noooooooo!” That was a very confusing comment. Why would someone post that when the video was just Ice-T showing how they film driving scenes for TV shows? However, soon other comments revealed what everyone was freaking out about. “You leaving SVU? If so, what a run,” another fan bizarrely asked before the reason for the confusion was discovered.
Fans thought that “FIN” meant that this was the “finish” for Ice-T on Law and Order: SVU. The good news is that it had nothing to do with that because his character is named Fin – and that isn’t short for anything but Odafin. It should have been clear to anyone who watches the show that it is his character’s name, and for others, it is part of his Twitter handle as well (FINALLEVEL).

Is Ice-T Leaving Law & Order: SVU?
There is no need to worry. Ice-T is not leaving the show as Fin – although he did hint at when he planned to depart the series. In an interview with Smashing Interviews, he said how long he planned on remaining on Law and Order: SVU. “I made a statement that I’ll be there until Mariska leaves. I think the show is Mariska’s show,” he said of Mariska Hargitay, who plays Captain Olivia Benson.
He then joked that Mariska is still out there “buying sh*t” so there isn’t a chance it will end anytime soon. “So as long as she keeps spending money, I think I’ve got a job.”
