Taylor Swift broke down in tears during an interview
During that interview with Apple Music, Taylor Swift shared that her own music was used against her. The “Anti-Hero” singer was best known for writing songs about her exes. She appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show, who tried to turn it into a fun little game. However, Taylor didn’t want to play along.
“People were just kind of reducing me to — kind of making slideshows of my dating life and putting people in there that I’d sat next to at a party once and deciding that my songwriting was like a trick rather than a skill and a craft,” Taylor Swift explained at the time. “It’s a way to take a woman who is doing her job and succeeding at doing her job and making things.”

The TikTok clip then showed her interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show back in 2012. She wanted to hide as the television host kept bringing up her dating history. Ellen said that Taylor was dating Zac Efron, which she denied. She broke down in tears and even told the comedian to stop.
“I don’t know if I’m going to do this — this is the one thing that I have,” Taylor Swift exclaimed. “It’s like the one shred of dignity that I have!”
Ellen asked her what she meant by “dignity.” She continued to ask her about her dating life. The singer told her that “the only thing I have is that one card!” Ellen ignored her and carried on with the vicious game. She wanted Taylor to ring a bell to confirm whether she was dating any of the men who appeared on the screen.

Ellen DeGeneres called out for cruel behavior
Ellen DeGeneres was called out for her cruel behavior. Supermodel Emily Ratajkowski caught wind of the viral TikTok video and commented: “This is so f***ed up. She’s literally begging her to stop.”
Taylor Swift fans agreed with the influencer. Many didn’t find Ellen DeGeneres’ interview humorous. They called out the scorned talk show host for her bullying. Others wondered how this interview was even allowed.
