Former Bringing Up Bates stars Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart have broken their daughter Layla’s heart. The couple shared a video of a sad moment that brought their little girl to tears. On Instagram this past week, Carlin and Evan shared a new video of their daughter, Layla, who will turn three at the end of January. Recently, Bringing Up Bates fans have been talking about her fun personality and her little attitude. While some have called her bratty, others disagree and think she’s just like every other two or three-year-old girl. Nonetheless, fans are excited to continue watching her grow up.
In their newest video, Carlin Bates and Evan Stewart admitted that they broke their daughter’s heart. The short clip shows Evan carrying Layla down the stairs after her nap. After a second, Layla looked around the living room and then asked Evan and Carlin, “What did you do?” Then, Evan asked her what was missing.
It turns out that Carlin and Evan put their Christmas decorations away while Layla was napping. So, when she came downstairs, she was totally surprised that the tree was no longer up. She started to whine and pout, showing her parents just how heartbroken she was, and they caught it all on camera.
Evan admitted that he didn’t expect this reaction from her. Carlin added that they could just have their decorations up all year round.

Bringing Up Bates fans react.
In response to this new video, Carlin Bates’ mom Kelly Jo revealed that she’s on the same page as little Layla. She commented, “That’s pitiful! I agree! Christmas should be longer!” Plenty of fans are commenting that they feel as sad as Layla does now that Christmas is over.
A few of Carlin’s Instagram followers are offering some words of wisdom. One fan said, “You should let her help, then it doesn’t just disappear.” Others agree that Layla would likely understand it better if she had been involved in the clean-up process.
Hopefully, next year, Layla will be able to help out so she doesn’t feel so sad about the decorations coming down.
