Where Was The Wedding Veil Expectations Filmed?

Hallmark’s The Wedding Veil Expectations is kicking off the year with a lot of fan excitement. What is next for the three friends Avery, Emma, and Tracy? The first trilogy was so successful that they filmed a sequel trilogy to continue the stories of these three art-loving friends and the magical veil.

Therefore, where did they film this movie? They filmed this movie in Victoria, BC. Hallmark has filmed other movies and series in this picturesque location. This includes Jesse Metcalfe’s Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries.

Therefore, when did they film this movie? According to Creative BC, the online source that shares what is being filmed in “Hollywood North,” this movie was filmed between October 13-October 30. Hallmark movies are generally filmed in about 16 days. Sounds like this film shoot is no different.

However, wasn’t Kevin McGarry filming When Calls The Heart? Or will Hearties get a lot less of their favorite mountie in Season 10?

Kevin McGarry Juggled HallmarkWedding Veil And WCTH Shooting schedule

According to an interview with the Suspenders Unbuttoned podcast, The Wedding Veil Expectations director Peter Benson revealed that Kevin McGarry had to do a lot of traveling. “He was shooting When Calls the Heart in Vancouver at the same time — literally at the same time.”

Because they filmed this movie in Victoria, BC, and McGarry filmed WCTH in Vancouver, he started his day early. In his own interview with the same podcast, the recently engaged actor shared his crazy schedule.

We shot this movie back in Victoria. I’d get up maybe at four or five in the morning, go up to the set, shoot until six or seven, and then about it’s an hour back to Vancouver, hop on a plane and fly back to Victoria. I didn’t stop. It was a lot!

It is perhaps a good thing that both projects were for Hallmark. This may have been a crazy travel schedule, but it is all for the feel-good network.

Lacey And Kevin Enjoyed Revisiting Wedding Veil Characters

Now, fans can finally see what Avery and Peter are doing in this next movie. Moreover, Lacey Chabert and Kevin McGarry are both thrilled that they can continue their stories.

Lacey shared on Instagram, “Working together was the best! The wonderful @peterbenson889 directed the 4th story in #TheWeddingVeil series. @kevin_mcgarry_w and I had so much fun revisiting Peter and Avery’s story. These movies typically end once the characters fall in love, but this time we get to see what happens in their lives and relationship after the wedding. The legend of the veil continues January 7 on @hallmarkchannel”

Lastly, it should be noted that Terry Ingram, who directed the first trilogy, was set to direct this movie. However, there was a conflict and Peter Benson stepped in. Peter directed Lacey in Sweet Carolina, and one of the Crossword Mysteries.

The premiere of The Wedding Veil Expectations is on Saturday, January 7, at 8 p.m., Eastern, on the Hallmark Channel.
