In case you missed it, Katie and her husband Travis Clark are currently expecting their first baby, a girl. The little one is named Hailey James and is due to arrive on March 4, 2023. So, she’ll be here in the next couple of months. Of course, the parents-to-be are very excited about her arrival and can’t wait to meet her.
Since announcing her pregnancy, Katie Bates has shared many updates via Instagram and YouTube. A recent post has fans questioning her and asking if she’s simply being dramatic.

On the Duggar Bates Confessions Instagram page, fans can send in anonymous confessions about the former Bringing Up Bates and former Counting On stars.
In a recent confession, one fan questioned why Katie Bates required Travis’s help to put on her shoes at 29 weeks pregnant. The fan said that they are “genuinely confused” and then asked, “How helpless will she be at 40 weeks?!” Another fan agreed, “No reason she can’t put her own shoes on. She is not that big.”

However, in response to the post, many fans are rushing to Katie’s defense. It looks like very few fans actually think Katie is being dramatic or that she’s totally helpless. Some think Travis might just be trying to help his wife out.
One Bringing Up Bates viewer added, “I’m pretty sure she said she has HG which makes any kind of motion impossible and would make her weak and super sick. So yes just bending down to get her shoes on could affect her.”
Another fan pointed out that Katie simply can’t win. They said, “And if she put them on herself in the video you would be the same one complaining that he doesn’t help her.”
