Michael Weatherly’s Hints ‘NCIS’ Fans Could Finally Get Tiva Reunion

News, Scripted

NCIS fans have spent nearly a decade waiting for a Tiva reunion. Could 2023 bring one? Michael Weatherly’s latest social media post hints that this wish may soon come true.

Here is the latest news on the possibility of Tony (Weatherly) and Ziva (Cote de Pablo) reuniting.

NCIS Alum Michael Weatherly Hints At Tiva Reunion

On Sunday, Michael Weatherly excited NCIS fans on Twitter. He wrote, “Happy New Year! It’s time to look at time and enjoy the moment!”

One fan responded, “We all would rather look at you and Ziva reuniting and enjoying that moment.”

Weatherly retweeted this comment and wrote, “Stay tuned… for this might be an interesting year for such “moments”!”

Needless to say, this tweet caused an eruption of giddiness. Fans have waited so long that they asked him not to tease them. Another fan wrote, “Oh, Michael, how we #Tiva fans would love for this to come to be!!”

Could this be the season that fans finally get to see this long-desired event?

Rumors Of NCIS Reunion Since Weatherly’s Bull Ended

Back in September, TVLine spoke to NCIS showrunner, Steven D. Binder about Weatherly. Weatherly’s show Bull ended in 2021. Therefore it was fair to ask whether Tiva would be reunited. Binder seemed to hold his cards close to the vest.

I’ve known him for a while and I think he needs to chill and go someplace tropical. I haven’t spoken to him about that but we’ve talked over the years, and that’s my guess.

Weatherly seems to have spent some time in a tropical setting and was heading home when he sent that tweet. Does this mean it is time?

Where Are Ziva And Tony Now?

When Cote de Pablo returned to NCIS Season 17, the final result was her reuniting with Tony and their daughter Tali in Paris. However, that all happened off screen. That was not satisfying for fans. People want to see the little family together.

Therefore, the idea of seeing the magic of Anthony DiNozzo and Ziva David together, in an episode, would thrill fans. However, more episodes would be a bonus.

As with Cote de Pablo returning in Season 17, there needs to be a good reason for their return.

A Tiva Reunion Is Good Excuse To Bring Gibbs Back

NCIS could really make fans happy if they brought back Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs, even if just for a cameo. It has been a couple of years since fans saw him settle into his new life in Alaska. A Ziva and Tony reunion would be the perfect opportunity for Harmon to make even a brief return.

This would also be a great opportunity to see Robert Wagner and Michael Weatherly back on screen together. They have a witty repertoire that fans would love to see again.
