‘Unexpected’ Matthew Blevins Arrested, What Happened?
Unexpected alum Matthew Blevins has gotten himself arrested. One of the most hated stars of the TLC reality teen pregnancy show is in hot water. So, what did the unfaithful father do to get himself into such trouble? Read on for more details.
Unexpected Matthew Blevins Arrested, What Happened?
Matthew Blevins was first introduced in Season 3 of Unexpected. He had impregnated his teenage girlfriend, Hailey 1 Tomlinson but they were not a great fit. He had a wandering eye, even as a young man, and it just so happened to wander to her best friend, Hailey 2 Tilford. Hailey 1 had no idea that he was texting Hailey 2, even as the girls sat with each other. Ultimately, he and Hailey 2 ended up together and they found out that they were expecting, as well.
Hailey 2 even got an EPO against Matthew Blevins at one point so this is not the first time he has faced the law. So, one would think he would want to stay out of trouble, at least for the sake of his children. Apparently, this does not matter. According to @tlc.unexpectedteaa, Matthew Blevins was arrested on December 28th, 2022. He was arrested for 2nd degree robbery, 4th degree assault (minor injury), and failure to appear citation for misdemeanor.
The robbery is listed as a felony while the assault is a misdemeanor. Fans did not seem all that surprised, per their comments. “Even back when he was on the show as a teenager he looked like someone who was heading down that road to jail smh poor babies,” one noted. Another added: “where is tlc finding these kids, this is how many of the baby daddy’s now to get locked up??” One fan was actually upset that it was not Season 5 cast member Jason Korpi.
Moving On
Both Haileys were able to move on from Matthew Blevins, especially Hailey 1. She started dating Darren Amos who really helped her raise her daughter, Kinsley. He posted a lot of photos of her little girl and pretty much cared for her as his own. Unfortunately, there was a time a few months back when things got rocky for the couple. It seems that Matthew had a hand in this. They actually parted ways for some time and Darren claimed he had to remove all traces of Kinsley from his social media.
It was very sad as he had been such an active father. However, Hailey 1 claimed that Matthew Blevins had wanted to be a part of her life so she wasn’t going to stop him. Ultimately, Darren and Hailey 1 reconciled and it is probably for the best. Matthew seems like he needs to work out some things at this point in time. It will be interesting to see what comes next and where he ends up.
