The narrative to date has been that Pete allegedly proposed to Kim Kardashian after being coerced by her mother Kris Jenner. However, it was a bit much for the SKNN owner who immediately ended things with the comedian. Moreover, similar narratives stated that the former couple had been struggling with the long-distance relationship and their busy schedule. So, they parted ways on a mutual note.

There was also a clue that Pete ended it on Kim’s social media. She had a sad breakup song playing, alluding he pulled the plug. Now, Kim Kardashian is continuing to subtly hint that it was her ex who really broke off their relationship.
Kim Kardashian Is Hopeful Of Her Future Love Life
In a conversation with Angie Martinez for her IRL podcast, the SKIMS owner discussed several aspects of her life including Pete Davidson. The podcast host questioned the 42-year-old about her dating life and the associated difficulties that she has endured in the past.
She replied, “There’s a part of me that’s like: ‘Oh, my God, is everyone going to be scared because I don’t have the easiest ex? I don’t think that’s fair for me to ever put someone in a situation or bring a new person in that could be super innocent.”

The mother of four further explained what she wishes her future love life to look like. She said, “But my person will be able to handle all of it, and that I do know and that’s what I have faith in.”
The TV star further detailed that she believes in love, god, and has faith in all of it. She believes her faith will lead her to the perfect person. Kim Kardashian further asserted that she is the, “biggest hopeless romantic. So, I just know that my person can deal and my person will love it. And same with me and whoever that is.”
Kardashian Fans Believe Pete Loved The Idea Of Kim
On Reddit, fans discussed the interview as many believed Kim hinted that it was Pete who ended their relationship.
One wrote, “Yeah I think it’s obvious that he dumped her. This next bit is my opinion, but the reason why he probably broke it off is he was probably in love with the idea of Kim. But when he got to know her, the fantasy wore off.”
Another agreed, “Yes, the collective consensus is that Pete dumped her.”

This follows right after The Kardashians aired the latest episode with Pete and Kim heading for the Met Gala after hours of preparation. It was clear as day that the 29-year-old was tired of Kim’s shenanigans. He even admitted in the car that the Met Gala can get a lot and super stressful.
Kardashian fans aren’t the only ones who feel Kim Kardashian was too much for Pete Davidson. Johnny Potenza, who is also Pete’s friend, believes Kim had too much baggage for the former SNL star to handle. He believes that their age gap, kids, and her former partner Kanye West together piled up on The Suicide Squad star.
