Shonenleaks Claims MAPPA Studio Will Produce One-Punch Man
In August of this year, the team announced that a new season of the Japanese superhero anime is in the making. Soon enough, fans started wondering who would take charge of overseeing the project.

Feeding to the fuel, a popular anime leaker, Shonenleaks, posted information about the upcoming season on its Twitter account. They stated that One-Punch Man Season 3 will be animated by studio MAPPA. This leak soon became viral news with several news outlets publishing the tweet as a confirmed fact.
One-Punch Man Team Snubs Rumors On Twitter
However, the official One-Punch Man team soon addressed the rumors and posted a statement regarding the rumors, and urged fans not to fall for leaked information.
They wrote, “This is the only official Twitter account for the anime ‘One-Punch Man.’ Please don’t be misled by unofficial information from other accounts. Accurate information will be announced from this account when it is time. #onepunchman.”

Although anime speculations and rumors are common, this is a rare event when a team addressed ongoing rumors. Additionally, as reported by ComicBook, Shonenleaks’ Twitter account was suspended and still is at the time of writing. However, it isn’t confirmed whether the suspension has anything to do with the account leaking this major information.
What Is One-Punch Man Anime About?
The first season of One-Punch Man premiered on October 2015 and was produced by Madhouse. On the other hand, the second season that premiered on October 2019 was produced by J.C. Staff. The series is licensed by Crunchyroll, Viz Media, and Muse Communications. The anime is popular for parodying the superhero genre with its humor, animation, and great art. Although the sophomore season didn’t keep up the perfection that came with the debut season, it still was a great hit among fans.

When Will One-Punch Man Live-Action Movie Premiere?
The first live-action movie adaptation of the anime was announced in 2020 by Sony’s Columbia Pictures. With Justin Lin signed in as the movie’s director, the production will start later this year. As of now, there is no release date either for the live-action movie or the third season.
