As the first season of the series wrapped up with the finale airing on December 26, 2022, fans don’t have to wait long for the next season. When Will Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Season 2 Air?

The upcoming season, which is titled Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War Part 2: The Separation, was rumored to premiere sometime in the Spring or Summer of 2023. However, the confirmed premiere date is now out with the new trailer. Now, Season 2 of the series will officially premiere on July 2023.

As per ComicBook, this new season will have more battles and scenes added to the anime that wasn’t originally a part of the manga. The news of the second season was announced by Studio Pierrot and Aniplex.

What Is The New Season 2 Trailer About?

The new trailer gives a quick rundown of the feud between Soul Reapers and their Quincy foes. This is because Yhwach has already clarified that he wishes to destroy all of reality. So, the only thing standing in his way is the existing Soul Reapers. Although the trailer is bleak in detail, it does have all of the fans’ favorites. Throughout the clip, Ichigo is in the spotlight appearing multiple times. Moreover, Toshiro Hitsugaya is also seen whipping out new powers.

The trailer also hints at allegiances changing in the second cour. TV Tokyo is licensed to broadcast the series in Japan. On the other hand, fans in the United States can tune in to Hulu to watch the series. Across the globe, Season 2 will be available on Disney+. So, fans that haven’t yet seen the first season can catch up on the same on Hulu or Disney+.

Disney+ Bagged The Rights To Stream Bleach Spinoff Series

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is based on a manga of the same name and is a spinoff of the original Bleach anime that aired between 2004 and 2012. The original anime was licensed by Crunchyroll. However, the streaming rights for the spinoff series ended up with Disney+.

The anime spinoff project was initially announced on March 2020 by Weekly Shonen Jump in a live stream. It was confirmed that the manga’s final story arc, Thousand-Year Blood War would receive an anime adaptation. With Tomohisa Taguchi confirmed as the series director, the first teaser of the anime was revealed at the Jump Festa ’22 on December 18, 2021. The spinoff will have four cours with breaks in between.
