1000-Lb. Sisters fans can’t wait for the new season to premiere in January. Starting on January 17, there will be new episodes of the show for viewers to see. Everyone is excited to see what the family has been up to over the past year.

Michael and Amy Halterman welcomed a new baby over the summer, but there was sadly a loss too. The family said goodbye to their chihuahua, Little Bit earlier in the year. Fans loved seeing the little dog on the show. Although the family misses her dearly, they take comfort in the fact she lived a very long life. Little Bit was 22 years old when she passed away.

Nothing could ever replace Little Bit, but the Halterman home just isn’t the same without a pet.

Most fans weren’t surprised that the Halterman family would get a new pet. Every pet owner needs some time to mourn, but many do go on to adopt a new pet someday. Over the Christmas holidays, the Haltermans chose to adopt a chihuahua pomeranian mix.

“Final day with dobby!! but dobby got the boy a 2 1/2 year old Chihuahua, Pomeranian Named Daisy Mae!! I’m sure the boy will love her as we loved little but!!!” Amy captioned her Instagram photos. The 1000-Lb. Sisters star opted to name her Elf on the Shelf after the Harry Potter character.

Amy uploaded a few pictures of the little dog. She seemed to be adjusting to the home quite well, but a few fans pointed out how much Daisy Mae resembled the late Little Bit.

I just saw your YouTube video where you introduced Daisy Mae and for the first couple seconds I thought awwww look at Little Bit. Then I caught myself and remembered that she had passed,” one 1000-Lb. Sisters viewer wrote.

“Little bit will never be replaced, [she] was your family, your first child really…but to have a new companion for the boys to grow up with will be just as special. Merry Christmas to you and your family Amy!” one fan added in the comments.

What can fans expect from the upcoming season?

Fans are excited to meet Daisy Mae, but for now they’ll have to follow Amy online if they want to see her. Season 4 is already done filming and will be on TLC starting January 17 at 9 PM eastern time. Rumor has it that Season 5 is already filming, so fans may get a chance to meet her next year.

In 1000-Lb. Sisters Season 4, fans can expect to follow Amy Halterman’s pregnancy journey and watch as she gives birth to Glenn. It’s also expected that Tammy’s wedding will be a major storyline.

For now, check back with TV Shows Ace and see what happens next!

  1. Wow. This VERY COMMON thing for pet owners to do was worthy of an article? Just close the offices for Christmas instead of posting trashy, judgemental articles that are pointless. A lot of people prefer getting the same kind of dogs again and again. It’s called having a breed preference. Instead of making it sound like they did something wrong by getting a new pet (after they cared for and loved another one for 22 years!) once they were done mourning, you could have written about the fact that instead of going to a breeder they adopted and gave a home to a shelter dog in time for Christmas. But spreading holiday cheer doesn’t get clicks for your advertisers does it? This was disgusting , Nikole.
