Whoopi Goldberg Compares Hurtful Comments To Taking Stinky Dump?

Whoopi Goldberg Closes Out Holiday Show

Whoopi Goldberg is speaking out about her hurtful comments from earlier this year. She compared the comments she made about the Holocaust to taking a dump. Earlier this year, The View suspended Whoopi for the remarks she made about the Jewish community and the Holocaust. She brought up the controversy yet again and angered fans in the process with her baffling comments. Keep on reading to learn more.

Why did The View suspend Whoopi Goldberg?

In February 2022, The View suspended Whoopi Goldberg for two weeks. Per NPR, ABC News said she made “wrong and hurtful” comments about the Jewish people and the Holocaust. She took that time to “reflect and learn about the impact of her comments.” It only came a day after Whoopi shared that race wasn’t a factor in the Holocaust.

During the episode of The View, she claimed that it was “not about race… it’s about man’s inhumanity to other man.” Her remarks happened after the panelists mentioned a school in Tennessee banning the book Maus, which was about the Nazi death camps during World War II. At the time, Whoopi admitted that she “misspoke” and that her words were hurtful.

“My words upset so many people, which was never my intention,” Whoopi Goldberg said a day after the episode. “I understand why now and for that, I am deeply, deeply grateful because the information I got was really helpful and helped me understand some different things.”

Now, she’s revisiting her past and making new comments about that moment. Just ten months after she issued a public apology, Whoopi is doubling down on what she said. She claims that critics acted like she took a dump on the table. The comedian said that she wasn’t trying to be insensitive with her remarks.

Makes a wild claim in a new interview

Whoopi Goldberg continues to stand by her original claims that the Holocaust was “not about race.” In a new interview with The Times of London, she talked about cancel culture and the comments she made. She doubled down on those remarks and claimed that the Holocaust “wasn’t originally” about race before comparing her comments to a normal bodily function.

“You could find me. You couldn’t find them. That was the point I was making. But you would have thought that I’d taken a big old stinky dump on the table, butt naked,” Whoopi Goldberg said in the interview.

Fans of The View have come across the interview on social media. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, they’re calling for her firing. Fans noticed that Whoopi doesn’t express any regret for the comments she made earlier this year.

She continues to spark controversy as she also talked about the #MeToo Movement and suggested that the victims put themselves in these situations.
