Since it’s their first married Christmas, the couple is making all kinds of special memories together. They took a road trip to Asheville, North Carolina, and checked out the gorgeous decorations. It looks like they specifically went to see the Annual Gingerbread House Contest at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville.

Trace’s brother, Jeb, and their mom, Kelly Jo Bates tagged along for the festivities.

Below, you can see a few beautiful pictures of Lydia and Trace Bates exploring Asheville. Lydia was dressed stylishly in a dressy white coat and a pair of white boots. Her blonde locks are curled. Trace opted for a leather jacket, a tee shirt, jeans, and boots. The newlyweds shared a kiss in front of the Christmas tree in one snap.

Kelly Jo also shared a photo of Lydia, Jeb, and Trace Bates together. Lydia posted a couple of pictures of the festivities, which you can check out below.

On Instagram last month, after putting their Christmas tree up, the couple dropped two cute new photos. In one, Trace Bates posed beside his wife Lydia as they sat beside the tree. Lydia held her white cat Maui in her arms. The second is similar but features just Lydia and Trace. She’s looking up at her husband as he looks down at her.

She gushed, “Love my precious little family so much♥️♥️We’re so excited to celebrate our first Christmas together that we had to decorate early🥰”

You can see their tree in the photos below. It features ornaments in neutral colors and a wooden beaded garland.
