Today host Savannah Guthrie gets dragged for impolite behavior. This comes after their huge interview with pop icon Janet Jackson. As TV Shows Ace previously reported, she made a special appearance on the morning show last Friday. Carson Daly announced the news to his co-hosts just 24 hours before.

Janet appeared on the show to perform live and to promote her new Together Again Tour. The singer chatted with Savannah, Carson, Craig Melvin, Hoda Kotb, and Sheinelle Jones. All of them were starstruck during her appearance. Fans called out Savannah for her “rude” behavior towards the superstar entertainer.

During the conversation. Savannah Guthrie and her co-hosts sat on stools. Janet Jackson stood the entire time. Fans didn’t understand why they didn’t offer the star a seat. The Today co-host took to Instagram to share some snapshots from behind the scenes of that star-studded moment.

Savannah Guthrie captioned the Instagram post: “Miss Jackson!” However, her fans had something else on their minds. They let her know what they really thought about the rude interview. Fans agreed that someone should’ve offered Miss Jackson a seat. Here are just some of the many comments:

• “I wish you had offered her a seat. She even looked behind herself to see if one had been brought to her. Very strange to make her stand.”
• “Why was she standing for so long? That was the one thing that threw me…” while a third simply asked: “Why didn’t you give her a seat?”
• “No seat. Was like the most awkward interview with her as she was standing & you were all sitting.”
• “How dysfunctional they didn’t even offer her a chair oh their heads are in the clouds lately.”

As you can see, fans noticed something strange about the interview. Some of them blamed Savannah for being a rude host, while others noted that Sheinelle interrupted the interview. She wanted to have a moment with Janet during the live show. It’s possible that Savannah Guthrie and her colleagues were too awestruck to offer Janet a seat.

Sheinelle Jones hijacks the interview

Savannah Guthrie wasn’t the only one who was in hot water for her behavior. Sheinelle stole attention away from the star when she admitted that she was a superfan. She even dressed as Janet during the Today Show’s 2019 Halloween Celebration when she wore a Rhythm Nation costume. At the time, Sheinelle performed with a group of backup dancers.
