‘SPYxFAMILY’ Confirms Season 2 With A Surprise Announcement
SPYxFAMILY is officially returning for Season 2 but it also has a surprise announcement for fans. Based on a Japanese manga series of the same name written by Tatsuya Endo, the series has a total of 10 volumes. It started serializing in the Shonen Jump+ magazine starting March 25, 2019. The anime adaptation premiered on Crunchyroll earlier this year on April 9, 2022, with a total of 24 episodes. So when does Season 2 of SPYxFamily premiere? When Will SPYxFAMILY Season 2 Premiere?
Created by CloverWorks and Wit Studio, the debut season first premiered on TV Tokyo and its affiliate stations in April. It was also licensed by Crunchyroll worldwide and Muse Communication in Asia. The second part of Season 1 premiered in October 2022. The series has been praised for its comedy, storytelling, and creative artwork.

The series’ renewal was officially announced during the Jump Festa 2023 on Sunday. Although no particular date has been announced, the upcoming season will air sometime in 2023.
SPYxFAMILY Manga Creator Is In Charge Of The Movie
However, the good news is an original movie for the series was also announced at the event. Moreover, it is also set to release sometime in 2023. The original manga creator, Tatsuya Endo will be in charge of the movie’s script, supervision, and character designs. Additionally, the SPYxFAMILY movie will also feature new characters. Apart from this, no other news regarding the series or its upcoming season has been revealed.

SPYxFAMILY Is Currently Airing Season 1 Part 2
As per Anime News Network, SPYxFamily is currently airing the second part of Season 1. It started off on October 1, 2022, with the Doggy Crisis Arc from the manga. Season 1 Part 1 covered the initial five arcs of the series. The second part adapts the manga’s Midterm Exam Arc and the Campbelldon Tennis Arc.
While Season 1 Part 1 (12 episodes) aired between April 9, 2022, and June 25, 2022, Season 1 Part 2 (13 episodes) started airing on October 1, 2022, every Saturday.

SPYxFAMILY Season 1 Part 2’s premiere episode’s official synopsis as per VIZ Media reads:
“The Forgers look into adding a dog to their family, but this is no easy task—especially when Twilight has to simultaneously foil an assassination plot against a foreign minister! The perpetrators plan to use trained dogs for the attack, but Twilight gets some unexpected help to stop these terrorists.”
