IDOLiSH7 Season 3’s second cour will now have more episodes. The second half of the third season premiered on October 2 on the Tokyo MX channel and Abema service. It was also simulcast on Crunchyroll. Unlike other anime series, IDOLiSH7 is actually based on a popular Japanese rhythm game which is developed and published by Bandai Namco Online. IDOLiSH7 Season 3 Part 2 Will End On February 5

On Saturday, the official website for the series revealed that IDOLiSH7 Third Beat! will have a total of 30 episodes. The first half of Season 3 premiered on July 2021 with a total of 13 episodes. Given that the third season will now have 30 episodes, Part 2 will air 17 episodes spanning throughout February 2023.

The upcoming Episode 26 will air on Crunchyroll on December 25 followed by Episodes 27 to 30 airing for four weeks until February 5.

What is IDOLiSH7 Anime About?

The series revolves around the player Tsumugi Takanashi who is an inexperienced manager for a new idol group under her father’s small agency. The aforementioned group is named IDOLiSH7 and comprises seven male members. They each have their own unique backgrounds and personalities. Takanashi must train them to eventually make them famous idols. She has to do all this while struggling with the problems that come with being in the entertainment industry.

As per Anime News Network, IDOLiSH7 anime also features a rival group that belongs to the Yaotome Production Company with three stars. Other rival groups that they have to compete against include Re: Vale and ZOOL.

IDOLiSH7 Manga Also Has A Spinoff Focused On The Rival Trigger

The gaming project inspired a manga of the same name that is drawn by Nokoshi Yamada. It is serialized in Hakusensha’s Hana Lala Online since 2015. The manga’s first volume was released on December 4, 2014. The game also inspired another manga that focuses on the idol group rival, Trigger, and is titled IDOLiSH7: Trigger: Before The Radiant Glory.

IDOLiSH7 anime adaptation was initially announced during a live-stream event on August 19, 2016. With a total of 17 episodes, the anime premiered on January 7, 2018, and concluded on May 19, 2018. Soon, a second season was greenlit which aired from April 5 to December 27, 2020. However, Season 2 was delayed after Episode 5 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The third season was a split-cour series whose first half aired from July 4 to September 26, 2021.
