Did Pregnant Alyssa Bates Risk Baby’s Safety On Latest Outing?
After watching pregnant Alyssa Bates Webster’s latest YouTube video, some fans are convinced that she put her unborn baby’s safety at risk. They are worried that she or her baby could have been seriously injured on a recent outing. So, what did Alyssa do, how do fans feel about it, and what do the experts say? Pregnant Alyssa Bates is accused of putting her baby’s safety at risk.
Over the weekend, Alyssa dropped a new YouTube video, documenting one of her family’s fun outings. While she, her husband John Webster, and their four daughters, Allie, Lexi, Zoey, and Maci, were in Tennessee to celebrate Christmas, they went ice skating. This was a special surprise for the girls.
However, while watching the video, some fans saw something that concerned them. Pregnant Alyssa Bates was out on the ice too.
A Reddit user posted a photo of Alyssa posing with her husband John and dad Gil at the ice skating rink. And the fan pointed out how unsafe this seems, given that Alyssa is expecting a baby.
They said, “I feel like I complain a lot but shouldn’t Alyssa NOT be ice skating ??? Like how unsafe for the baby if she fell. Am I being dramatic ??? I would never ice skate pregnant.”
Someone agreed and said, “It’s a bad idea. Falls are common.”
One Bringing Up Bates fan commented and said she’s pregnant herself and that her doctor said it’s “not worth the risk” to go ice skating.

While a couple of fans claimed that Alyssa was making a risky decision by going ice skating while pregnant, plenty of others backed her up. Many pointed out that she could easily fall while on the stairs or in the shower, and she obviously cannot avoid those things for her whole pregnancy.
Another fan added, “Pregnant women still need to live their lives normally. The baby is very well-cushioned in there!”
Someone else mentioned that Alyssa Bates could have been on the ice for just a few pictures and to help her daughters get started. She might not have done much actual skating.

Romper interviewed an expert, Megan Gray, M.D., OB-GYN, on the topic of ice skating during pregnancy. She said that it’s “not ideal” for expectant mothers to ice skate. She noted, “It’s a very high risk for falling, and you run the risk of hitting your abdomen, and then there’s risk for trauma to the placenta and complications for the baby.”
Fortunately, it doesn’t look like anything serious happened to pregnant Alyssa Bates or her baby. Hopefully, her pregnancy goes smoothly and she and the baby stay healthy and safe.
