Although Kody keeps talking all about money, fans wonder what he does for a living. Aside from his checks from TLC, there is no confirmation about where he works. While there have been claims that he sells firearms for a living, there has been no proof of the same. With no real earnings of his own, he depends on the money his wives make from their businesses and jobs. So, he is really afraid of poverty given that one by one his wives are walking away.

With no wives, there practically would be no Sister Wives show to get him his fat check, so no money to pad his wallet and feed his ego.

On Reddit, fans discussed Kody’s Tell-All claims about poverty and even shared a list of things he is really afraid of. The OP listed all the things Kody fears which include:
- All women besides Robyn
- His independently thinking children
- Losing his hair
- Accountability for his words and actions
- Parental and husband responsibilities
- Other men
- Work of any kind except peeling logs
- Anyone that questions his authority
Another Redditor quipped recalling the State Of Utah’s anti-polygamy laws, “He was certainly scared of the State of Utah.”

Back in 2010, after Sister Wives’ debut, the Utah police announced that they were investigating Kody and his wives for possible bigamy charges and even a third-degree felony. This could have landed the Brown family patriarch in prison for 20 years and five years for each of his wives.

A third fan claimed that he is also scared of, “Child support, being away from his tender-aged children, going cross country for a child’s surgery.”
However, another corrected the comment stating that he doesn’t have a problem with Robyn’s tender-age children, only the one he shares with Christine. Some even claimed that he is afraid of his daughters that are taller than him. They stated, “Don’t forget, he’s a short man, standing on his tiptoes because his daughter was taller than him. He has a height complex.”

kody is afraid of commitment and all that comes with it. meaning with 4 wives you get waited on. you get your way never letting anyone talk. you get to produce kids over 18 times and never taking care of them. get the best house. furniture. space. and get to demean all but Robyn which by the way she does a good job doing the same thing.
He’s afraid of Responsibility. He’s doesn’t take responsibility for anything he does or says. He’s afraid of the truth, like telling Mary not to go public with their situation.
