This has been a whirlwind week for Henry Cavill. On Wednesday, he officially announced that he will not be wearing the Superman cape again.
However, Friday morning, he announced on Instagram his new project, Warhammer. Cavill shared that he is working with Amazon and Vertigo to make this humongous project happen.
For 30 years I have dreamt of seeing a Warhammer universe in live action. Now, after 22 years of experience in this industry, I finally feel that I have the skill set and experience to guide a Warhammer Cinematic Universe into life. Partnering with Natalie Viscuso at Vertigo has been a blessing beyond words, without her we might not have found the perfect home at Amazon. And having a home like Amazon will give us the freedom to be true to the massive scope of Warhammer. To all of you Warhammer fans out there, I promise to respect this IP that we love. I promise to bring you something familiar. And I endeavour to bring you something fantastic that is, as of yet, unseen.

In this brand new post, Cavill explained his childhood dream of putting his favorite game, and fantasy book series, Warhammer, to the screen.
However, they have not yet found a writer for this series. But, the Argylle star promises that they will “respect” the intellectual property (IP). More so, this could be a hint as to why The Witcher star departed from his hit Netflix series. There were rumors that Cavill, who portrayed Geralt of Rivia, was unhappy with how the writers changed the original IP that was based on the Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski’s novels and short stories.
In addition, Cavill will be an executive producer, which will give him authority over the script.
Moreover, Henry Cavill will star in Warhammer.

What Is Warhammer?
Warhammer is the brand name for an entire fantasy-based universe. From Games Workshop, there are GAW’s miniatures, tabletop games, video games, novels, and more.
The world of Warhammer is in the distant future. The world could plunge into hatred and darkness, or find light and a utopian world.
There are supernatural creatures, as well as aliens ready to battle and take over the humans. Anything can happen in Warhammer, and the extensive literature means that Amazon could look forward to many seasons of new storytelling.
This Amazon series will be the first opportunity that these stories could be told to a wider audience.
