Brooks Darnell Signs Multi-Picture Contract With Hallmark Media
On Friday, Deadline reported that Brooks Darnell signed a multi-picture contract with Hallmark Media.
According to Lisa Hamilton Daly, the Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark Media, the network feels fortunate to sign this multi-talented artist.
We are so lucky to have Brooks Darnell here at Hallmark; he is a triple threat – an amazing actor, singer and musician.
Daly also reminded viewers that his upcoming movie is Holiday Heritage, which premieres on Friday, December 16, at 8 p.m., on the Hallmark Channel.
Brooks is such a delight to work with and we’re all so excited for viewers to see him in his next movie, Holiday Heritage, which is our first-ever movie celebrating Kwanzaa.
Darnell, who played Dr. Nate Hastings on Y&R, shared his enthusiasm for working with the network.

Over the past few years, the Shadowhunters star has made a name for himself on the Hallmark Channel. He was even included in the Hallmark and People Magazine Merriest Men Alive, along with Andrew W. Walker, Jonathan Bennett, Tyler Hynes, Paul Campbell, and Ryan Paevey. That is one hunky lineup!
Brooks Darnell Only Black Man With Four Hallmark Leading Roles
Brooks Darnell fans have something to celebrate about the multi-talented actor. His upcoming holiday movie, Holiday Heritage is a milestone. This is his fourth Hallmark movie where he is the lead. What is The Young And The Restless alum’s milestone with the network?
On Monday, Ann Weatherly Scott from the Hallmarkies podcast acknowledged and congratulated the Y&R alum on Twitter, “Congrats to Brooks Darnell on his 4th Hallmark movie this Friday #HolidayHeritage. I believe outside of mystery series this will make him the only black man to have had 4 leading roles in a Hallmark movie. He has been in A Christmas Miracle, Advice to Love By, and Winter Getaway.”
In addition, Brooks has been in another Hallmark production, All Yours, as well as in Total Recall, Bones, Breakout Kings, and Nikita.
