Hulu’s ‘How I Met Your Father’ Gets A Season 2 Premiere Date
Hulu’s sitcom How I Met Your Father finally has a premiere date for Season 2. The series’ star Hillary Duff confirmed the upcoming season’s premiere date on Instagram. The How I Met Your Mother spinoff series debuted earlier this year on January 18, 2022, with a total of 10 episodes. Following the success of the debut season, the series was renewed just a month after its premiere. So, when does How I Met Your Father Season 2 premiere? Keep reading to find out the details!
How I Met Your Father Is Different From The Original
The second season will have a total of 20 episodes following the weekly release schedule on Hulu. The sitcom follows Duff’s character Sophie as she shares with his son the story of how she met his father. From the year 2050, the story catapults the viewers back to 2022. In the past, Sophie and her group of close friends try to figure out their life, love, and a lot more in the age of dating applications and other limitless options.

However, the spinoff is a tad different in its approach as compared to the OG series. As per ComicBook, the pilot episode establishes that Sophie has already met the aforementioned dad.
Will How I Met Your Mother OG Stars Appear In Season 2?
Alongside Hillary Duff, the series stars Francia Raisa, Christopher Lowell, Tien Tran, Suraj Sharma, and Tom Ainsley as series regulars. On the other hand, Daniel Augustin, Josh Peck, Ashely Reyes, and Kim Cattrall are the series’ recurring stars. Written by Elizabeth Berger and Isaac Aptaker, the series also has Duff serving as the producer.

Season 1 saw special appearances from the original series cast including:

Hillary Duff Announces How I Met Your Father Premiere Date
Excited about the announcement of Season 2, in the Instagram clip, Duff said, “I’ve been dying to tell you guys when Season 2 of How I Met Your Father premieres, and they’re finally letting me! Season 2 premieres on January 24 on Hulu. Let’s Go!”

When asked about the expectations for the lead in Season 2, Duff mentioned in an earlier interview that she wishes for her character to be a bit more career-driven. The 35-year-old further wished that Sophie’s photographs should be a part of several more galleries. The actress also hopes that the show goes on for a really long time.
