Whitney Way Thore Invites The Public To Babs’ Funeral Services
TLC star Whitney Way Thore is currently mourning the loss of her mother Babs. She announced the tragic news this week on Instagram. Sadly, Babs’ ultimately passed away due to health complications after her strokes.
Many families in the public eye ask for privacy during times like this. However, Whitney has invited the public to her mother’s funeral. Keep reading to get the inside scoop.
Whitney Way Thore is thankful fans loved her mother so much
After Babs’ stroke in late 2021, Whitney and the rest of the family chose to move her into an assisted living facility. The Thores appreciated the outpouring of love and support. Whitney even invited fans to send Babs get-well cards as she rested and recovered.
During Babs’ stay in the assisted living facility, Whitney kept fans updated on her condition. She even frequently shared fun photos and videos of her mother as they enjoyed their time together as a family. Fans felt absolutely devastated to learn that Babs passed away.
Now, Whitney is publically inviting Babs’ fans to attend her memorial services.
“Mom’s visitation is on Friday, Dec. 16 from 5-8pm. The funeral is Saturday, Dec. 17 at 12pm. Both are at Forbis and Dick Funeral Service: 1118 N Elm St, Greensboro, NC 27401. Both are open to the public and if you loved my mother, you are welcome,” the reality star shared on Instagram. “Thank you for the overwhelming love and support for my mother and my family. It means everything to us. Her obituary link is in my bio.”
“Thank you for sharing your mother with the world! She was a gem of a person and will be sorely missed,” one fan wrote in the comments.
“God bless you and your family ❤️ Babs was the Mom we all needed ❤️” another added.

The Thores prepare to say goodbye to sweet Babs
When Whitney Way Thore first announced Babs’ passing, she shared an incredibly touching tribute to her mother.
“We want to thank you for loving our mother. She delighted in her newfound television career more than we can describe!” the MBFFL star wrote in the post. “It gave her such a sense of purpose and excitement and something to look forward to every time the crew came around. This last year navigating life after her second stroke was, perhaps surprisingly, the best of our lives. We never had more fun or laughed as much as we did the past year. The support from all of you made her feel so loved and encouraged. We are unbelievably thankful that we’ve been able to share her with you and it is our hope that her memory will continue to be a source of comfort and happiness for the rest of your lives, just as it will be for ours.”
