Will Next Season Of ‘Sister Wives’ Milk Robyn Brown’s Grief?
Robyn Brown has a reputation for crying quite often onscreen. So often in fact that views have started calling her “Sobyn” online. The TLC star said in previous interviews that she’s a very emotional person, but some fans think her tears are a bit much at times. Some fans feel that the constant waterworks make it difficult to sympathize with her when she’s having a serious crisis.
Robyn did suffer a personal loss in 2022. Although it was a tragic event, some Sister Wives fans have expressed concern that TLC will milk the incident for Robyn’s tears. Keep reading to learn more about the situation and what fans may expect to see in Season 18.
Robyn Brown lost a dear loved one in 2022
Sister Wives has been on TLC since 2010. In the past 12 years, quite a bit has changed for the family. Children grew up and had babies of their own. Divorces and new marriages took place. And sadly, a few members of the family passed away too.
“The Death of Robyn’s Dad,” a Redditor captioned a new thread this week. “We know Paul Sullivan died February 2022, how much of next season will be centered around Robyn’s ‘grief’? I’m positive Robyn will behave as if she is the only fahmaly member to have recently lost a parent (Meri and Janelle who?!?).”
Meri and Janelle lost their mothers over the last few seasons, which were storylines featured on the show. Even Kody lost a brother and his father during the series. Sister Wives will likely cover the loss of Robyn’s father, but the OP seems concerned the storyline will dominate the entire season.
Some Redditors pointed out that the show may not talk much about the death of Robyn’s father. Her parents haven’t made many appearances on the show like Meri and Janelle’s parents did.
“I wonder if they will talk about it? Robyn is so private with her life but seems to want everyone else business on the show,” another Redditor suggested.
“That will be an episode I definitely fast forward through. I’m done with watching this chick cry. I feel bad her dad died for sure but I just can’t do it with her tears and over dramatic episodes like I can’t,” another user added.
