The co-hosts shared their opinions about the film, which is about the famous actress but doesn’t depict the true events of her life. Some critics that the film was made without Marilyn’s consent.

Per Entertainment Weekly, she made the movie to “not just show their inherent sadness and pain” about the murdered teenager. The director also wanted to show the “joy and love that is really at the root of the narrative.”
