‘SNL’ Colin Jost Blushes At Scarlett Johansson Roasting Sketch
SNL star Colin Jost was all red-faced in the latest episode that involved a sketch roasting his wife and actress Scarlett Johansson. The 40-year-old started blushing and looked visibly embarrassed the second he heard her name. He even hid his face from the cameras at Studio 8H. What was the sketch about? How did fans react to it? Colin Jost Hides His Face At The Mention Of Scarlett Johansson
The American comedian married Scarlett in 2020. The live sketch comedy didn’t tap into the couple’s marriage to serve as a source for their sketches. However, in the latest episode, Chloe Fineman busted out her impression of the Black Widow actress during the Weekend Update segment.

In the risque segment, Fineman’s character and her husband (played by Mikey Day) reveal details of roleplaying in the bedroom as celebs. Furthermore, among the names of celebrities mentioned during the segment was Johansson. At the very first second of the namedrop, the Weekend Update co-anchor momentarily hid his face trying to hide his embarrassment.
How Did Colin Jost & Scarlett Johansson Meet?
The couple started dating in 2017 and married in 2020. However, they first met while creating an SNL parody sketch in 2010. At the time, the pair was both in relationships with other people. Johansson was married to Ryan Reynolds. On the other hand, Jost was dating Rashida Jones. As per ComicBook, the sketch was penned by Jost that combined two MTV shows, My Super Sweet Sixteen and Teen Mom. In the sketch, Johansson played a teenage mother that gave birth at her very own birthday party.

In August 2021, the duo welcomed their first child together. The SNL comedian revealed their son’s name in an Instagram post stating, “Ok ok we had a baby. His name is Cosmo. We love him very much.”
Despite Jost’s embarrassing moment on TV, viewers absolutely loved the impromptu cameo.
One viewer tweeted, “I can’t express how geeked I am that they pull Scarlett Johansson into this.”

Colin Jost Tricked Into Making Casting Joke About His Wife
Back in 2020, Jost was tricked into making a whitewashed casting joke about his own wife. He said, “The good news is Sammy Davis Jr. will be played by Scarlett Johansson!”
The joke refers to controversies surrounding the actress’ casting. She was a part of the Ghost In The Shell movie which started as a Japanese manga. More so, fans accused the filmmakers of whitewashing the role which could have otherwise gone to an Asian actor.
