What Is Hallmark’s The Holiday Sitter About?

According to the Hallmark synopsis, workaholic bachelor Sam (Bennett) lives in New York City and is ready to head to Hawaii for the holidays.

However, his sister (Hobbs) calls him before he can take off. She needs Sam to take care of her children. That is because the baby they are going to adopt is being born two weeks early.

Thanks to some “brilliant sisterly guilting,” Sam heads upstate to babysit.

When he arrives, Sam meets Jason (Krissa), the neighbor and family friend. Jason had agreed to watch the kids until Sam arrived.

Taking care of his teen nephew and young niece proves to be different than being a fun uncle.

“Even though his sister left a detailed schedule to follow – along with takeout menus to avoid the kitchen fire he caused the last time he babysat – Sam realizes he’s ill-equipped for the job, at best.”

Therefore, Sam desperately asks Jason to help him out. Jason is already at the household, as he is the contractor hired to set up the new baby’s nursery.

Moreover, Jason is also planning to adopt his own child. He is tired of waiting for the right guy to start a family.

“Sam is so desperate for help he offers to hire Jason as a ‘consultant’ of sorts to help him survive the next two days without major mishaps.”

However, the baby’s arrival is delayed. That means that Sam’s vacation is also delayed. But, the time he spends with Jason makes him reevaluate his bachelor life. Most of all, he finds the one thing he never was looking for. Sam has found love.
