What Is Hallmark’s ‘Twas The Night Before Christmas About?
According to the Hallmark synopsis, Madison (DeVitto) is an actress. Despite a multi-decade career, she is best known for a catchphrase that makes her cringe.
Currently, she wants to expand her career horizons. Therefore, she takes the challenge of directing a play in Troy, New York. She sees this as a high-profile opportunity.
“Part play, part mock trial, the show features two lawyers debating whether “A Visit from Saint Nick” was authored by Clement Clark Moore or Henry Livingston Jr. and has the audience decide as the jury.”
Firstly, Madison casts an old costar, Connor (Holtz). The attractive single dad is trying to figure out how to balance his acting career and Josie (Saunders), his young daughter.
Sparks fly between Madison and Conner. However, the new director has a rule to never date an actor.
“Also joining the show are two of the town’s overzealous Moore and Livingston cosplayers. They are remarkably convincing – when they can be found.”
Unfortunately, Madison has an issue with her lead actress Lena (Bastelle). Lena is a hand model. Moreover, she is the producer’s girlfriend. Otherwise, she has very little acting ability.
“Soon, Madison worries that her first foray into directing will be a flop. Perhaps, however, with determination, support from the town, and from Connor, Madison just might find a way to make it all work.”
