Michelle Yeoh Wishes To See Liam Hemsworth As The Witcher
With The Witcher: Blood Origin slated to premiere soon on Netflix, Michelle Yeoh weighed in on Liam Hemsworth taking over as Geralt Of Rivia. Yeoh, who stars as the honorable sword-elf Scian, recently shared her feelings about Henry Cavill’s exit. In an exclusive interview with E! News, Yeoh shared, “I think Henry did such an amazing job. Let’s see what Liam has to bring, right? That’s how it is.”

Yeoh will star as one of the lead characters in the prequel miniseries which is set 1200 years before the events of the original. Talking about her character in the series, she said that she loved wearing her character Scian’s signature look which includes ghost-like tattoos, elf ears, and colored contacts.
“All of them have a meaning. The ones on the forehead say, ‘Promises made shall not waver.’ It’s all with intention. Her tribe was one that believed in true loyalty. When you ask a favor from the Ghost Tribe, you should be very clear why you are doing it because all deeds don’t go unnoticed,” she explained.
Why Did Henry Cavill Exit From The Witcher?
Henry Cavill has had an eventful year as he reprised his role as Superman in the Black Adam movie starring Dwayne Johnson. Later on, it was revealed by Cavill himself that he would exit the Netflix series only to be replaced by Hemsworth. The former Geralt Of Rivia also commented on his replacement and praised him.

He stated that he is enthusiastic to see Hemsworth take on the character. As of now, there has been no official word on why the actor exited his role. The main consensus is that he left to play Superman in the DC Universe in the future.
However, some speculations suggest that the actor left due to some creative differences with the show’s writers’ team. As per rumors, Henry wanted to stick to the novel the series is based on. However, the writers wished to explore more beyond the original novel.

On the other end, there are no official reports that suggest that Henry will star as Man Of Steel beyond his cameo appearance in Black Adam. However, executives at Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly want to focus their efforts on Superman and have just hired Peter Safran and James Gunn to spearhead the DC franchise. A report also suggests that fans shouldn’t get too excited as Henry Cavill hasn’t yet signed a new contract to return as Superman.
